Instructions
  1. For preparing vethakuzambu - brahmin special, first fry mustard seeds, tuvar dal and chana dal in coconut oil.
  2. Add onion and fry for few minutes.
  3. Soak tamarind in water. Squeeze tamarind out and add fried items of the 1st step to the tamarind water.
  4. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilly powder, sambar powder, jaggery and cook for a few minutes. Add asafoetida and keep cooking till the dish becomes thick and gravy like.
  5. Vethakuzhambu - brahmin special recipe, is ready.
