  • Allpurpose flour(Maida) - 1 1/2 cups
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Butter(flavored shortening - 1/4 cup) -
  • Egg - 1 no
  • or -
  • Equivalent of egg substitute -
  • Half and half cream - 3/4 cup
  • Buttermilk - 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
  1. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
  2. Cream together sugar, shortening, and egg with a mixer.
  3. Slowly beat in half and half, buttermilk and vanilla.
  4. Slowly beat in dry mixture.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Pour 1/2 cup of batter into a preheated, greased waffle iron and cook for 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter.
  8. :- Serve with honey or mable syrup.
