Instructions
  1. peel the yam and chop into small pieces
  2. par boil the yam by adding salt
  3. chop the onion and tomato
  4. heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and curry leaves and add onion and saute it
  5. add tomato and mix well
  6. add salt and turmeric powder and mix it
  7. add ginger garlic paste and mix well until the raw smell goes out
  8. add red chili powder and garam masala and mix it
  9. add par boiled yam and allow to cook for 10 mins in medium flame
  10. once the masala gets well cooked with yam turn off the flame
  11. now yam masala is ready to serve
